GANSEY GAYLE HAT

Knit cap Knits, purls and bobbles accent this hat inspired by traditional Guernsey sweater patterning. This fun and simple-to-knit little hat is knit in the round. Instructions are given in both the line-by-line written method and charts. You choose whichever method you prefer.

Sometimes you just want to have some fun with your knitting. Not only is this flat-topped little hat knit with a bold variegated yarn, it also has a picot hem, bobbles, picot tucks, and is topped with “knittles” I-cord extensions of various lengths.

I used bits of hand-dyed handspun that was a gift from a friend for my hat - you can use up leftover yarns or select your own color set.

GARTERED GARDEN HAT

This hat begins with a garter stitch band with buttonholes for weaving through a ribbon. The crown is created by picking up stitches along one side of the garter band. Use Luxury fibers and a velvet ribbon for a totally different look.
